English Premier League side Southampton are the latest to join in the race for France-born Ghanaian midfielder Elisha Owusu and accepted to make an offer in the summer window.
The 22-year-old, who plays for Belgian Jupiler League side KAA Gent, is already being monitored by Spanish sides Atlético Madrid, Real Betis and Sevilla.
Owusu was one of the shining stars of the truncated 2019/20 season in Belgium with his mastery in midfield.
He was adjudged the best passer of the ball according to statistics from the organizers of the league.
Owusu had a passing accuracy of 91.4 % and made at least 50 passes per game.
Under contract until 2023, his market value is 7.9 million Euros .
Owusu joined KAA Gent from French giants Olympique Lyonnais for a little over a million Euros.
