Ghana FA boss Kurt Okraku determined to make local competitive in Africa

Revamping the Ghana Premier League remains top of the agenda of FA president Kurt Okraku.

The Kurt Okraku-administration is determined to let the local top-flight go independent as they seek to commercialize.

The former Dreams FC Executive chairman has vowed to make the league attractive.

"It's the goal of the FA to improve our championship and that's why we decided to play create an independent league. In this case, the organizers will have their hands free to work," he said.

Okraku said he will also focus on improving the country's football referees and create a balanced and competitive body.

"Once again, our decision to change the referee structures is a step in the right direction. We want to find and improve talented referees. So in the future, I think we will get a better league under my mandate."
