Caf Executive Committee elect Kwesi Nyantakyi has pledged to give Caf a new image in football administration on the continent with experience.

The Ghana FA boss won an overwhelming 34 votes-representing 64% of total vote cast-against Caf president favourite Anjorin Moucharaf on Wednesday in Khartoum.

Nyantakyi believes his experience of steering the Ghana national team to two back-to-back World Cup finals successes will aid Caf to develop the game on the continent.

The owner of Ghana Premier League Wa All Stars says his expertise will be crucial in helping Caf to make strides.

"I also think that my election provides another dimension to football management in Africa. At least myself, Kalusha (Bwalya) and Tenga (Tanzania FA boss) have been elected and I believe the experiences that we have gained over the years, the successes and all the expertise in us will be brought to bear on African football and we expect to help president Hayatou to drive further the gender of development for African football," Nyantakyi said.
