Kurt Okraku, the president of the Ghana Football Association has rated the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign high, admitting the season has been good considering the fight for the ultimate and relegation among clubs.
The battle for the prestigious title has been fierce this time, with Bibiani Goldstars, Nations FC, Heart of Lions, Asante Kotoko, Samartex and Hearts of Oak all in the hunt for the trophy.
The relegation dog-fight, on the other hand, has been interesting, with several clubs in mid-table including Aduana FC, Basake Holy Stars, Young Apostles, Vision FC, Accra Lions, Karela United and Legon Cities battling for survival.
Speaking to Original FM, Okraku, who has been appointed as the second vice president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) expressed satisfaction with the level competition in the Ghanaian top-flight.
“It's been a good season. Whether good or some negative vibes, it's been a good journey. The battle for the Premier League has been immense while the relegation dog-fight has been interesting. The season can be better but it’s been good so far” he said.
With five games to end the campaign, Okraku hopes the best club will annex the trophy.
