The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has closed its offices nationwide until further notice amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The decision is part of efforts by it’s Executive Council to curb the spread of the Coronavirus in the country.
In a statement released today, the GFA directed its members, including clubs and Regional Football Associations, to use online systems to communicate with the Secretariat for now.
This effectively ushers in a period of remote work, for tasks that require sending and receiving of mails and player registration.
The GFA also indicated that it will ”continue to engage the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service on the next steps and inform our staff and stakeholders accordingly of any changes”.
Clubs have also been cautioned to cease training with immediate effect and comply with the directive from President Nana Akufo–Addo.
The GFA, last Sunday, suspended all competitions in line with a directive by the state banning all large public gatherings.
