The Ghana Football Association Club Licensing Board has approved only four venues ahead of the league start next month.

With only a few weeks to the start of the new season, clubs who did not meet the criterion have been asked to put the venues in order or look elsewhere to play their games.

In the summary decision released by the Ghana Football Association on the inspection work done by the Club Licensing Board: the Accra Sports Stadium, Cape Coast Sports Stadium, the WAFA park and the Nana Agyeman Badu Park were the only venues to be approved.

The Accra Sports Stadium, which is one of the venues approved will host five teams, Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics, Legon Cities, Inter Allies and Asante Kotoko.

They have been given the green light to use the venue for their home games for the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.

Asante Kotoko adopted the Accra Sports Stadium for their home games due to the renovation works ongoing at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The Baba Yara Sports Stadium was closed down earlier this year to host the Independence day celebration and has not been opened for any sporting activity.

According to reports the renovation work is expected to be completed next year to allow Kotoko to host their remaining games at their traditional home venue.

Meanwhile, 10 venues to be used by the other 13 teams will need re-inspection according to the report from the Club Licensing Board.

The venues: Theatre of Dreams, Dawu, Golden City Park, Ohene Ameyaw Park, Nana Fosu Gyemabour, Len Clay Sports Stadium, Ohene Ameyaw Park, Nduom Sports Stadium, Carl Reindorf Park, C.A.M Park and the Akoon park were deemed not ready after the inspection done by the Club Licensing Board.

The clubs to use those venues have been asked to meet the standards before approval will be given ahead of the league start.

The 2020/21 Ghana Premier League will commence on November 13, 2020.
