The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that first-choice goalkeeper Richard Ofori will miss the two international frendlies against Morocco and Ivory Coast due to injury.
The Orlando Pirates shot-stopper is recovering from a groin injury he picked up during a CAF Confederation Cup match against Algerian side ES Setif back in March.
The 27-year-old has been ruled out of the match due to the setback.
“Groin injury. He sustained a groin injury during his club’s (Orlando Pirates) CAF Confederation Cup game against ES Setif in March this year. The lanky goalkeeper is now recovering from the setback” the Ghana FA statement said.
Lawrence Ati-Zig has been called up as a replacement and will fight for a starting berth against Kotoko's Razak Abalora and on-loan King Faisal gloveman Ibrahim Danlad
Meanwhile, 25 players made the trip to Morocco including captain, Andre Ayew.
