The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the appointment of Mas-Ud Dramani as permanent coach of the Ghana U20 national team.

Dramani, a former Asante Kotoko coach, is currently preparing to lead the Ghana U20 women's team at the 2016 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup in Papua New Guinea.

Dramani will take full charge of the team upon his return from Zanzibar where is holding a coaching course for the continent's governing body, CAF.

The first batch of 30 players who were called up to train last week have been released to join their respective clubs ahead of the start of the new soccer season.

Ghana drew bye in the African Youth Champions qualifiers and awaits the winner between Ethiopia and Somalia in the second round of qualifiers.

Dramani had previously guided the Black Maidens to clinch bronze at the 2012 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan.
