Ghana FA could look beyond shortlisted coaches

The Ghana Football Association has not ruled out the option of head-hunting for a new coach despite short listing five for the vacant coaching job.

Expatriates trio Humberto Cuelho, Goran Stevanovic and German-Turkish Can Vanli, Ghana-born Marcel Dessaily and local man Herbert Addo will be interviewed in due time.

But the FA says could still head hunt if they find a suitable replacement if the quintet fail to meet their expectations at an interview section.

Ghana FA Vice President Fred Pappoe told Radio Gold: "We're still considering head -hunting if we find any of the candidates not suitable enough for the job."

"We are looking for the best and so the fact that the gentlemen have been shortlisted does not mean, they’re home and dry.

"Our doors are still opened and we’ll look at our current options and elsewhere if it becomes necessary to name a quality replacement for Milovan Rajevac."
