The Ghana Football Association says reasons for parting ways with Goran Stevanovic remains concealed in the interest of the Serbian.

The ex Partizan Belgrade manager was fired following his inability to lead Ghana to Nations Cup triumph in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea early last month.

The Black Stars settled for fourth place behind Mali having lost the crucial semi final game to eventual winners Zambia.

Much of the blame directed to Stevanovic who was eventually given the boot after delays and deliberations with the Ghana federation.

Legal representatives of the 45-year-old claim no reason has been given for their client contract’s termination but Kwaku Eyiah who is part of the Ghana FA’s legal team insists otherwise.

"We (Ghana FA) and the coach arrived at an agreement not to reveal the real reasons for the termination of his contract," Eyiah said.

"This was to ensure that the good relationship is maintained and also so that the coach will be able to secure his next job under no unblemished record with us.

"So we are quite surprised that his representatives are out in the media saying no reason has been given for the contract termination.

"But we remain committed to this agreement and therefore will not reveal the reasons."
