The Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has dismissed King Faisal FC's protest against Tamale City FC in week 30 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Issah Allah club’s protest centres around a Tamale City player with a double identity (Isaac Mensah/Jireh Kojo Nissi), as King Faisal aimed to gain boardroom points to help avoid relegation. Tamale City had defeated King Faisal 4-0 in their match in May.
But their protest has been quashed by the domestic football governing body (GFA).
The Ghana FA ruled that the player who played in the said match was duly qualified to play.
The GFA Prosecutor has however been tasked to investigate the registration of Jireh Kojo Nissi and locate and charge all guilty parties in his registration.
The decision has been communicated to all parties accordingly.
