Ghana FA Ethics Committee wades into Wa All Stars- New Edubiase match-fixing allegations
New Edubiase United

The Ghana FA Ethics Committee is set to begin investigations of match-fixing involving Wa All Stars and New Edubiase United.

The body has received the audio recording of a radio interview where Edubiase striker Prince Antwi claimed the two clubs had a home-team-take-all deal.

This meant the corresponding fixture played in March which All Stars won 1-0 in Wa was predetermined.

Antwi's revelation came after Wa All Stars beat the bottom-club 1-0 in Bekwai last Sunday to compound their woes.

A statement on the Ghana FA website read: "The Ethics Committee is carefully studying the recording and will soon invite the alleged player to appear before it to establish the veracity of the comments made in the recording.

"The Committee will treat this particular case with upmost importance considering the effect it may have on our top flight league."
