Ghana FA Executive Committee member George Afriyie has hailed the Black Satellites for their ââ¬Ëdeservedââ¬â¢ win over Sierra Leone in their opening qualifiers for next yearââ¬â¢s African Youth Championships.
Goals from Dennis Tetteh and Prosper Kassim proved enough to record the impressive away win in the game played in Bo on Saturday.
The win gives Ghana a commanding advantage even before they host Sierra Leone in the return encounter expected to be played in Tamale in a fortnight.
George Afriyie who doubles as the teamââ¬â¢s management committee chairman says the win was well ââ¬Ëdeservedââ¬â¢ having come up against a determined home side.
ââ¬ÅThis is a win deserved by the team after a hard dayââ¬â¢s work,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅThe team did very well against a very good side and we hope to come back home and complete what we have started.ââ¬
The Black Satellites are looking to qualify for their third successive African finals which will be held next year in Senegal.
