The leadership of the Ghana Football Association is working for clubs through the Executive Council, spokesperson Henry Asante Twum has said.

The 12-member council has been holding meetings on a wide range of issues amid the coronavirus pandemic.

There have been criticism against the current leadership for failure to engage the clubs after been kept in the dark.

But Ghana FA spokesperson Henry Asante Twum has revealed the association is working for clubs through the Executive Council.

"Bluntly put, there hasn't been any engagement, there hasn't been any engagement with individual clubs or clubs specific,"he told Takoradi-based Skyy Power FM

"However, the FA, in all these deliberations and engagements have always involved GHALCA (Cudjoe Fianoo and Alex Akummey) The sat in our meetings with the MOYS on COVID 19, as well as other meetings on import duties, clearing duties, SSNIT contributions etc.

"Again per the FA structure the clubs are fully represented on the ExCo and clearly the reps carry the voice and the mandate of the clubs

"All I can say is that maybe the leadership of the FA decided to work through the ExCo than the clubs.

"Suggestions have come, and going forward the ExCo will take a decision if it's needful to involve individual clubs in our decision making."
