Ghana FA lifts ban on Robert Mensah stadium

Published on: 19 April 2012

The Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association has lifted the ban on the closure of the Robert Mensah Stadium.

Last month, fans of Ebusua Dwarfs beat up referee Patrick Kyeremanteng and his two assistants during a Ghana Premier League match at the venue.

The irate fans claimed the referee disallowed a late equalizer in the 1-0 defeat to Aduana Stars.

Some media men were chased out and others lost properties during the violent behaviour by the fans.

The Ghana FA as a result decided to temporarily close down the venue from hosting matches.

Although the ban has been lifted, Dwarfs are serving a 12-match home ban in the Ghana top-flight.
