The Ghana Football Association will now pay the bonuses of national team players in the local currency instead of US dollars due a latest Bank of Ghana directive.

The Bank of Ghana directed that all transactions in the country should be conducted in Ghana cedis in compliance with Bank of Ghana Notice dated October 10, 2012.

GHANASoccernet.com investigations has revealed that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has asked the Football Association to pay players in Ghana cedis.

The Nyantakyi-led administration we understand do not have a problem with that.

The only stumbling block left is that the Black Stars players (mostly based abroad) prepare to be paid in dollars.
