Ghana FA resumes operations after police raid

Published on: 13 December 2010

The Ghana Football Association resumed work on Monday after it closed down over a raid on its offices.

The Economic and Organized Crime Office has returned nine computers and files it took away from the FA last Tuesday.

Government has dissociated itself from the operation and says the move on the FA was taken by a state agency which was doing its work.

The FA has sued the EOCO over the matter.

GFA spokesperson Randy Abbey told Joy News all is set for workers at the FA to return to work.

Meanwhile world football governing body FIFA is yet to respond to government’s claim that it has nothing to do with the investigations.

A deadline for government to stay clear of the GFA expired yesterday.
