Nine coaches shortlisted for vacant Ghana coaching post

The Ghana Football Association has shortlisted nine coaches from the 106 applicants for the vacant national team coaching job, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Some local coaches have been named among the list, according to Ghanasoccernet sources.

Local coaches Herbert Addo and Marcel Desailly as well as Milovan Rajevac have been reported by Asempa FM to be part of the nine selected.

The Ghana FA will cut down the number to five next week after due diligence has been done and that will make-up the final list.

"The Executive Committee has set a 15 December deadline to find a new coach and after reducing the number to five, we will then conduct the interview and settle on the new coach," Ghana FA spokesperson Randy Abbey told Ghanasoccernet.com
