The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is preparing to announce new sponsorship deals for the Ghana Premier League, according to Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, the head of Public Relations Strategy at the GFA.
The 2024/25 season began without a headline sponsor following betPawa's withdrawal midway through the previous season.
In an interview with Asempa FM, Armstrong-Mortagbe highlighted the GFA's track record in securing sponsorships, noting a significant increase in revenue over the past four years.
"We have successfully raised sponsorship from GHS 2.3 million to GHS 23.1 million, a remarkable 909% increase," he said.
"The expertise is there, and we are confident in our ability to attract new sponsors."
He acknowledged the current challenges in the sponsorship landscape but reassured that the GFA's PR, strategy, marketing, and business development teams are working diligently to secure the necessary resources.
Armstrong-Mortagbe promised that announcements regarding new sponsorships would be made in due course.
While betPawa remains a sponsor of the GFA, it no longer supports the top-flight competition.
The GFA is committed to ensuring that new sponsorship deals are finalised to enhance the league and support the development of Ghanaian football talent.
