The Referee Review Committee of the Ghana FA have decided to suspend some match officials for up to six weeks, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The verdict will be made public tomorrow following approval by the Ghana FA's Emergency Committee.

The committee reached its decision following a two-day panel hearing which gave the charged persons an opportunity to mount their defense.

"A decision has been taken but will only be made public tomorrow after approval by the Emergency Committee," a top Ghana FA source told GHANAsoccernet.com.

The affected officials were found guilty for putting up highly poor performances in the two-week old Premier League season.

Some other match officials were however lucky to escape suspension and have so far been put on probation.

The new adhoc committee chaired by Ghana FA vice, Jordan Anagbla was formed to check the performance of match officials in the league after matchdays.
