The Ghana FA will review Maxwell Konadu’s status as coach of the national U-20 team.

The assistant coach of the Black Stars guided the Black Satellites to qualify for next year’s African Youth Championships.

And for his excellent performance with the junior side, many believe Konadu be made to lead the side to the championships to be hosted by Algeria.

The Ghana FA will however take a critical look at the situation and make a decision accordingling.

“Maxwell (Konadu) has done well in his interim role as Ghana U-20 coach,” Ghana FA boss Kwasi Nyantakyi told Kumasi-based Kessben FM.

“We will thus review the position as an FA and come out with a decision whether we want him to stay on or not.

“We also have to see whether there is no conflict in the schedules of both teams and whether Maxwell himself is prepared to take up the U-20 side.”

The Black Satellites are looking to regain the spark that made them World champions in 2009.

The team performed abysmally last term where they were eliminated after just the first round in South Africa last year.
