GFA vice Pappoe elated by state awards

Vice President of the Ghana Footbal Association, Fred Pappoe has expressed joy at the news two of the national teams will be conferred national honours by the state.

Both the Black Stars and the U-20 side, the Black Satelites including the entire management and technical teams will be rewarded for excelling at their respective World Cups.

“It feels very good to be appreciated and recognized more so by the state and their peers for whom you believe you’ve been showing this work,” the obviously elated Pappoe told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“Definitely the entire team will be pleased by the recognition given and it will spare the team to do even better.”

The playing bodies of both teams and coach Sellas Tetteh in the case of the U-20’s will be awarded The Companion of the Order of the Volta while the technical and management teams will receive the grand medal.

The Presentations would be done by the President of the Republic, John Atta-Mills at a yet to be determined date.
