Ghana fans want SuperSport to ditch Ghana hater Mamadou Gaye

Ghana football fans want SuperSport to remove African football 'expert' Mamadou Gaye from their discussion panels for his 'consistent negative comments' about the Black Stars.

This comes after the Black Stars made nonsense of his prediction that the four-time champions will be booted out of the competition at the group phase.

Prior to the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, the Ivorian commentator predicted that Ghana will suffer a first round exit at the tournament.

In his latest rant against the Black Stars, Gaye said Ghana won't be able to qualify from the group phase of the competition.

“Let me tell you Botswana will take of Ghana out of this Nations Cup,” Gaye said during the weekly African football show on SuperSport ‘Soccer Africa’.

“These boys have nothing to lose and their playing their first game against one of the so-called favourites of this competition.

“Ghana don’t have strikers and so they will hope to win by penalties and that is why I say they will go out of the competition in the group stages.”

After the Black Stars finished top of Group D with a near-perfect record, fans of the Black Stars in Gabon have been calling for his removal.

"We Ghanaians pay to subscribe to SuperSport to bring someone on their channel to insult us with his consistent and unfair comments about our country," Musigha supporters' group member Mandingo told GHANAsoccernet.com in Gabon.

"Analysts are supported to make fair comments and informed judgements but this guy called Gaye is brought in by SuperSport to insult Ghana.

"He throws objectivity out of the window and makes this embarrassing statements on the respected channel. SuperSport must remove this guy to save their image in Ghana.

"The Black Stars have once again proven him wrong and will continue to prove him wrong because he is an illiterate with an opportunity to talk on TV.

"Ghanaians are losing respect for his comments filled with hatred rather than fact.

"SuperSport must know that many Ghanaians are very angry and soon we will start with organising boycotts if he is not removed."

Ghana will play in the quarter-final of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations against Tunisia on Sunday.
