Black Stars forward Inaki Williams has applauded his younger brother Nico Williams after his starring role in Spain's success at the European Championship in Germany.

Williams Jr scored as Spain defeated England to win Euro 2024 on Sunday, July 14, at Berlin's Olympiastadion. The Athletic Bilbao star was also named Man of the Match in La Roja's 2-1 victory.

Inaki took to social media to post: "Vamoss Nico Williams. How proud I am of you."

"One more day at the office," he added on a post about Nico's Man of the Match performance.

In an epic game in Berlin, Nico's goal was cancelled by second-half substitute Cole Palmer before Mikel Oyazarbal snatched a late winner.

Inaki, who had one senior appearance for Spain decided to switch nationalities and play for Ghana in 2022, going on to represent the Black Stars at the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.

Despite an effort from Ghana to have his younger brother join him in the Ghana national team, Nico decided to play for Spain.
