Ghana forward Patrick Twumasi unveiled at Spanish side Deportivo Alaves

Black Stars striker Patrick Twumasi has been unveiled by Spanish la liga side Deportivo Alaves. 

The Ghana international was outdoored to fans of the club at the Mendizorrotza stadium in Alaves on Monday, where he met and interacted with the public.

The Ghanaian joined the la liga side on a four year deal from Kazakhstan club Astana after five years in the Central European country.

Patrick Twumasi scored over 60 goals for the club before making the switch.

"I had a very warm welcome with the fans. I am very happy to be here and I am going to do everything I can to help the team and to make fans feel proud of me, "he said at his unveiling.

"I am very happy to be in a team as important as Alavés. I have worked very hard to have this opportunity. The coach has given me a lot of motivation to work here, "he added.

The former Red Bull Academy player joins compatriot Mubarak Wakaso who has been with the club for a season now.

Meanwhile, Sporting Director of Deportivo Alaves, Sergio Fernández is excited to bring the Black Stars striker to the club.

"For us it is a satisfaction to have players from the minute one understand that this project will help them grow as footballers and that will help us to set the goals we have, "he said.

Patrick Twumasi will wear the number 24 jersey, he could make his La Liga debut against Barcelona on August 19th when the season begins.
