Ghana goalkeeper Daniel Agyei has returned to training with Free State Stars after undergoing successful surgery.

The 24-year-old had a ‘sports hernia’ operation to a few weeks ago.

Agyei who is the first choice goalkeeper for his South African club has returned to training but says he is a bit far off from assuming his regular first team duties.

“I will go for check up on Friday but I don’t think I will keep this weekend,” Agyei told GHANAsoccernet.com.

Agyei remains in contention for a place in the Ghana squad for the 2014 World Cup.

The former Liberty Professionals captain has made five international appearances for the Black Stars since his debut in 2009.
