Ghana goalkeeper, Richard Ofori, will move to Belgium if his proposed move to South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns fails to materialize.

The PSL champions Sundowns are expected to make a decision on the Wa All Stars shot-stopper who is currently on trial at the club.

Ghanasoccernet.com exclusively revealed two weeks ago that Ofori in on trial at Downs as he is being assessed by Sundowns coach, Pitso Mosimane and his technical team.

Ofori’s representative, Tera Maliwa of TSSM, confirmed that the player is currently in South Africa although he would not mention the name of the club.

The agent reveals that Ofori could move to Belgium is the deal at Mamelodi Sundowns fails to materialize.

“Yes, Richard Ofori is currently in South Africa and training with a PSL club, with the hope of getting a contract," Tera Maliwa of TSSM said.

"Unfortunately, I cannot divulge the name of the club at the moment. But I can assure you that for now, so far so good.

"There is also a possibility for him to go to Belgium if things don’t work out in South Africa,” Maliwa told the Siya crew.

Sundowns currently have Ricardo Nascimento from Brazil, Fares Hachi from Algeria, Leonardo Castro from Columbia as well as Yannick Zakri and Soumahoro Bangaly from Ivory Coast, who all registered on their foreign quota.

As reported by the Siya crew, Masandawana may look to sign the goalkeeper and send him out on loan until a foreign quota spot becomes available for him, should the club decide to add him to their roster.
