Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson helps Balikesirspor win promotion to Turkish top flight

Ghana goalkeeper Richard Kingson has been successful in helping Balikesirspor win promotion to the Turkish top flight.

The experienced goalkeeper was in full time action to help his side seal the second promotional spot with a vital 2-1 win over Istanbul BB in the final game of the season played on Sunday night.

Kingson only joined Balikesirspor in January on a short-term deal from Cypriot club Doxa Katokopias.

He now gets the chance to play top flight football in Turkey once more again in his illustrious football career which has seen him play for 13 different clubs.

The Black Stars goalkeeper will however be returning to the championship that made him a household name in Turkey.

Balikesirspor will be making only their second appearance in the Turkish top flight in the 2014/15 campaign in their 48-year history.
