Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan meets president Akufo-Addo ahead of book launch

Former Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan has paid a courtesy call on President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo ahead of the launch of his book. 

The legendary Ghanaian footballer is set to launch his autobiography as he details events in his life, career and businesses.

"On Thursday, My Team and I, together with Mr. Anthony Baffoe and the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif, visited the president at the Jubileee House to have further discussion on my Book launch. Thank H. E President Nana Akufo Addo," wrote Asamoah Gyan on Twitter, with photos of him and the president.

 

Asamoah Gyan, 36, who is yet to hang his boot missed out on the Africa Cup of Nations team for the first time since 2008. He remains Ghana's all time leading scorer with 51 goals, eight of them were at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Stade Rennes and Sunder star is also Africa's all time leading scorer at the FIFA World Cup, scoring six in three tournaments.

He last played for Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities.
