Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan says he is happy with Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano who has been in charge of the club since June.

Duncan claims Italiano has confidence in him and is helping him to become a key member of the squad.

"Yes, I am very happy with the Italian coach. I feel his confidence and I know that by doing my utmost, in training as in a match, I can give my contribution to the team. It is true that there are many of us but all the midfielders in the squad are of great value.

“The season is long, the matches are many, there are five changes, I am sure that everyone will be able to carve out their space and make their contribution, then I think that competition, when it is as healthy as ours, cannot do anything but good for the team."

There were reports of Duncan leaving the club in the summer transfer window. He stayed and has so far played two games.
