Ghana World Cup midfielder Anthony Annan has launched a scathing attack on the Norwegian media implying that they are discriminating against him following their recent attacks on him.

The uncompromising tiny enforcer, who plays for giants Rosenborg, has in recent days received bad press from the country's media after clashes with some of Norway's top players during league matches.

For the third game in the row the unassuming Ghanaian enforcer has received bad press in the country, the last one - two weeks ago, being a clash with an opponent in box.

The Rosenborg players was in front of all the major newspapers and television news it out at the Ghanaian player saying he had caused a penalty which the referee ignored.

This comes after Annan was accused of biting Aalesund striker Tor Hogne Aarøy during a game three weeks ago.

But the Ghanaian has now hit back at the press saying he 'hates' the way he is being portrayed in the Norwegian media.

"It's my job to meet people in the field. Just doing my job," Annan said to the TV 2 Sport.

"We play football and there will always going to be body contact. In the game against Tromsø I got more bad press even though Rushfeldt kicked me consistently yet Rushfeldt was not mentioned by the media.

"If I'm in a duel, then the papers will write about it immediately. I hate it, "said Annan.

"I'm tired of the accusations. Now I just need my peace and play football."

It alleged attack on Aaroy came a week after Annan clashed with Lillestrom coach Henning Berg who had described the Ghanaian as unsporting.

The latest incident came on Sunday when they met Tromso, with television picture showing Annan in a tussle with striker Sigurd Rushfeldt.

Yet to commentary that has followed the game is one of painting the Ghanaian as a dirty and an unfair player even though the Tromso forward also pushed and shoved the Ghanaian.
