Finnish giants HJK Helsinki have been dealt a big blow as midfielder Anthony Annan suffered an injury in their win over Mariehamn in the Veikkausliiga League on Thursday evening.

The former Hearts of Oak ace was replaced by Finnish midfielder Eetu Vertainen just four minutes as the Blue and White lads overcame Mariehamn 2-0 at the Telia 5G-Areena.

Finnish striker Nikolai Alho fetched the opener for HJK in the 24th minute before Brazilian forward Joao Klauss sealed the win in the 88th minute of the match.

The 32-year-old midfielder has made 21 appearances in the Veikkausliiga championship as they sit top of the pile with 59 points after 26 games.
