Ghana midfielder Prince Buaben has joined English side Watford on a two-year deal.

The former Dundee United midfielder moved on a free transfer to the third tier side.

The 23-year-old left Tannadice at the end of last season, following the expiry of his contract.

Describing himself as a player, he said: "I'm a box to box man - I can play defensive midfield as well as right-back and ring wing if I have to.

"I just want to help the team to win games.

"I like to get in people's faces and I don't like to give the opposition time on the ball.

He joined United from Ajax in 2007, and went on to score 11 goals in 142 appearances while in Scotland.

The Ghana international is a product of the Amsterdam side's youth system, but did not have the necessary resident's status to sign a professional deal.

Swansea, Brighton and Aberdeen were reported to be interested in signing the central midfielder.

Do you think Buaben's move to the third tier in England could further hurt his chances of playing for the Black Stars?
