Ghana midfielder Daniel Kofi Kyereh will  miss St. Pauli's game against SV Sandhausen in the Bundesliga II on Saturday.

The 26-year-old sustained an injury in the 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen.

The Black Stars midfielder scored his 11th goal of the season in that week 29 fixture.

He has been a key player for St.Pauli this season as they push for promotion to the Bundesliga next season.

Kyereh sustained a thigh injury according to his Coach Timo Schultz and currently racing to be fit for the game this weekend against Sandhausen.

"Kofi has had thigh problems since the game against Werder Bremen," said the 44-year-old at the press conference on the game.

"We hope that we can get this under control as soon as possible, but we won't take any risks," emphasized the coach.

Daniel Kofi Kyereh has scored 11 goals in 26 appearances this season for St.Pauli.

St.Pauli are chasing for promotion to the Bundesliga and are currently third on the table 52 points.
