Ghana midfielder Ebenezer Ofori opens up on struggles at AIK

Ghana midfielder Ebenezer Ofori says he is working hard to get back into the first team of AIK Stockholm after a difficult start to the season.

The 26-year-old has struggled with game time, starting only three matches in the ongoing campaign.

"It's football. Today it affects me, tomorrow it may be someone else. I try to help the team, which is having a good season," the midfielder is quoted as saying by Afton Bladet.

Despite finding it hard to break into the team, the Ghanaian attracted interests from clubs outside Sweden but insists he is committed to AIK.

"I can not talk about it. Sorry," said Ofori.  "I can one hundred percent get back to the form I last showed in AIK. I even think I can play even better than I did then."

Manager Bartosz Grzelak praised the work ethic of the Ghanaian but adds he is not good enough.

"The competition was unexpectedly tough for him when both Hussein and Ayari got a phenomenal development. They stood in the way of Ofori. He has often had good training weeks and if we had not had that competition he would probably have had to play. He has also had problems with injuries. Then he did not get past the others, he did not reach that level," said Grzelak.
