Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman Badu says he has no intention of playing in the Ghana Premier League at the moment as he awaits a move back to Europe.

The former Hellas Verona midfielder has been clubless after parting ways with the Serie A side.

Agyemang Badu who won the FIFA U20 World Cup with the Black Satellites in 2009 has denied reports in the media on his move to join Asante Kotoko.

According to him, he has promised to play for the club before he retires but he is reconsidering that option at this moment.

”I have said many times that I will definitely return to Kotoko before I finally retire from football but the truth is that for now, I am not ready to make a return to the Ghana Premier League”, he told Hello FM.

”I am currently waiting for some deals and hopefully soon I will be back in Europe to continue my career.”, he added.

Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu announced his retirement from the Black Stars earlier this year.

The 30-year-old made his debut for the Black Stars in June 2008 against Lesotho and he went on to make 78 appearances for his country and netted 11 goals in the process.
