Ghana midfielder Grace Asantewaa opens Spanish Primera Iberdrola account with a brace in Logrono home victory

Black Queens midfielder Grace Asantewaa has broken her goal duck in the Spanish Primera Iberdrola in EdF Logrono Femenino win on Tuesday.

Asantewaa netted a brace as Logrono beat Athletic Club 3-0 at the World Cup 82 Stadium.

The Ghana international was yet to find the back of the net in all competitions since joining the club from Ampem Darkoa in the summer of 2019.

The 20-year-old made her debut in Logrono's 1-1 draw against Tenerife on 14 September in Spanish top-flight.

Asantewaa opened the scoring of the game just three minutes after kick-off connecting a pass from Equatorial Guinea international Jade Boho.

Five minutes from the halftime whistle, Asantewaa scored again to the double the lead for the home side.

The victory has moved Logrono to 13th position on the Spanish Iberdrola table with 10 points after 12 games this season.
