Ghana midfielder Iddrisu Baba is suspended and would play no part in RCD Mallorca's clash with Rayo Vallecano.

This is a big blow for Mallorca as Baba is a key member of their squad, but they are optimistic of a positive result.

Baba is suspended because he has accumulated five yellow cards. Although Mallorca will miss him, it is a chance for him to rest, having played two games in space of four days for Ghana last week.

This is the first game that Baba will miss this season. He has appeared in 13 games and scored two goals – more than he managed in the past two seasons.

Baba joined the Barakaldo Club in Mallorca in 2018 and has performed well. He has been linked to a major transfer and the club values him at 45 million euros.

It is said that Everton is very interested in Baba.
