Patrick Twumasi's Hannover 96 league debut ends in defeat to Osnabruck

Ghana winger Patrick Twumasi made his league debut for Bundesliga II side Hannover 96 on Friday as they lost away to VFL Osnabruck.

The home side scored first through Christian Santos in the 33rd minute from the penalty spot.

Santos got his brace in the 47th minute to increase the lead for Osnabruck.

The former Deportivo Alaves midfielder came on a substitute in the 62nd minute to help his side push for an equalizer.

Hannover got a consolation in the dying minutes of the game through Marvin Ducksch.

After the game the Ghanaian international took to social media and said, "League debut but not the result we wanted. We will keep working hard and come back stronger. head ups Lads"

The 26-year old joined the Bundesliga club from Spanish side Deportivo Alaves in the ongoing transfer window on a three-year deal.

He was on loan to Turkish side Gaziantep last season.
