Ghana midfielder Prince Buaben apologises for Twitter rant at referee

Watford midfielder Prince Buaben has apologised after a foul-mouthed rant on social-networking site Twitter.

The Ghanaian was furious with referee Eddie Ilderton after he awarded Leeds United a penalty in the dying moments of Saturday's game, which resulted in the contest being a draw.

Shortly after the match, Buaben, who was signed from Dundee United in the summer, tweeted: "Absolutely p***ed off. F***ing robbed us. OMG (Oh my God) nearly hit this f***er."

The tweet was taken down shortly afterwards and replaced with "I apologise for my language earlier on, just very upset."
