Ghana midfielder Raman Chibsah has joined German Bundesliga II side Vfl Bochum in the summer transfer window.

The 27-year old moved to Bochum after the termination of his contract at Turkish side Gazientep, signing a two year deal with the club.

Chibsah is expected to use his experience to help the club gain promotion to the Bundesliga.

“I am very, very happy that I was able to join VfL Bochum. The people in charge have convinced me of VfL. Now I want to get to know my new teammates as soon as possible," said the former Sassuolo player.

Chibsah played for many years in Italy, featuring in the serie A and B, where he played for Frosinone, Benevento, Sassuolo, Parma and Juevntus Turin.

Vfl Bochum's Sports Director Sebastian Schindzielor has expressed satisfaction in the capture of the two time capped Ghana international.

"In Raman Chibsah we are gaining a midfielder who is mainly in the head office, who is also a sure-footed player and strong in tackling," says Sebastian Schindzielorz.  "He has international experience, is dynamic and, due to his past, in Italy had good tactical training."
