Ghana needs more training sessions to face Congo - Pappoe

Three more training sessions will make the Black Stars ready to face Congo in Sunday’s vital Africa Cup of Nations, says Fred Pappoe.

The vice president of the Ghana FA is supervising the Black Stars training camp in Nairobi ahead of the game in Brazzaville.

The squad has been depleted with the absence of Kevin Boateng while a calf injury is threatening to rule Sulley Muntari out of the game.

Pappoe says they need three more training sessions admitting that the clash with the Congolese will be tough.

“We have three more training sessions before we say we are ready for Congo but definitely it is going to be a very tough match,” Pappoe told SuperSport.

Ghana must beat Congo to brighten their chances of reaching the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
