Ghana new boy William Owusu to face competition from Royal Antwerp's new signing Mbokani

Black Stars newbie William Owusu is set to face stiff competition from Royal Antwerp's new signing Dieurmerci Mbokani of DR Congo. 

The Ghana international, who has been the Belgian club's top striker in recent years will now face competition from the experience Congolese forward who is known very well known in the country during his days with Anderlecht and Standard Liege.

Mbokani scored 50 goals in 120 appearances for Standard Liege before moving to England to play for Norwich City.

William Owusu scored the all important winner for Royal Antwerp on Saturday in their 1-0 win over Cercle Brugge in the Jupiler League.

However, he will be fighting for a place in the team with the former golden boot winner in Belgium.

The DR Congo international joins Rayal Antwerp from Ukrainian side Dynamo Kiev where he score 11 goals from 23 appearances.

The prolific Congolese forward has also played for Hull City and Monaco in the past.
