Ghana players ready ''to die'' for World Cup slot- Andre Ayew

Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew says the remainder of the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifiers will be ''do or die'' for the Black Stars.

The 2010 FIFA World Cup quarter-finalists were handed a reality check after a 1-0 defeat to Zambia away and dropped to second in Group D.

Ghana next game to end the first round will be against leaders Sudan-who have four points- on March 22, 2013 at home.

The Black Stars second round will be a tricky trip to Omdurman on June 7, 2013 before travelling to Lesotho on June 14.

Ghana's final match will be at home against African champions Zambia on October 13, 2013.

Ayew, who missed last Saturday clash against the Chipolopolo in Ndola due to injury, is urging his team mates to punch above their weights.

"Now we need to work harder. Every game must be do or die for Ghana now," the Olympique Marseille told Joy Sports.

Ghana are seeking a third successive FIFA World Cup finals appearance after impressive displays in Germany 2006 and South Africa 2010.
