New Edubiase United suffered a second straight defeat in the Ghana Premier League when they were stunned at home by in-form Aduana Stars at the Len Clay stadium on Wednesday.

It's a fifth consecutive win for the Aduana lads after Godfred Saka's individual brilliance resulted in a goal in the 44th minute.

New Edubiase United should have been ahead in the 3rd minute of the game but Prince Antwi wasted the effort.

Aduana Stars came close to scoring the first goal of the match when Derrick Sasraku's long distance effort went wide off the goalposts. He attempted a long from the centre line in the 15th minute.

Prince Antwi wasted another begging opportunity after he had beaten Aduana Stars goalkeeper Joseph Addo but his final delivery went over the crossbar.

Godfred Saka put the away side ahead a minute before the halftime whistle after a silky run from the Aduana Stars half.

Richard Yeboah failed to draw New Edubiase United level with only a goalkeeper to beat. His attempt went straight to Joseph Addo.

Right back Christopha Agbashie saved New Edubiase United from conceding a second with a clearance on the goal line after Richard Mpong's shot had beaten goalkeeper Benjamin Mensah.

Aduana Stars will host Hearts of Oak in an intriguing encounter on Sunday in match day thirteen whilst New Edubiase United travel to Dansoman to play Liberty Professionals
