Ghana Premier League Preview: AshantiGold vrs New Edubiase- Adansi derby set to thrill fans

AshantiGold SC look to extend their unbeaten streak to seven when they lock horns with bottom placed and Adansi rivals New Edubiase United in a fierce duel at the Len Clay on Sunday.

The draw masters are just one point away from the drop zone despite their recent surge. A draw or lose would put a dent on their fight for survival.

Joseph Ato Bissah won't be available for selection on Sunday since he has travelled outside the country.

Head coach Bashiru Hayford is expected at dugout for the first time in the second round after seven matches. He joined the team this week after completing his exams.

New Edubiase United kept their survival hopes alive when they stunned Asante Kotoko with a 2-1 win at the Bekwai Gyamfi's park last two weeks.

A victory will still not be enough to move them up on the league log but will keep them a point adrift the relegation zone.

Versatile and experienced midfielder James Boadu has been sidelined for Sunday's derby with an injury he sustained against Berekum Chelsea weeks aback.

All other players are fully fit. Nasir Lamine and youngster Tawphiq Mohammed could keep their respective places in the start list of the Movers.
