Ghana Premier League Preview: New Edubiase United vs Liberty Professionals- Hosts return to Bekwai but to play in empty stadium
New Edubiase United

New Edubiase United return to the Bekwai Gyamfi's Park for rest of the Ghana Premier League matches this season starting with the visit of Liberty Professionals on Sunday behind closed doors.

If they fail to win, their quest for survival this season will be dealt a huge blow.

The center back pair of the Movers, Samed Ibrahim and Nuhu Musah are out of Sunday's big game.

Ibrahim is still serving a suspension imposed on him by the disciplinary committee of the Ghana Football Association whilst Musah has travelled with the national U20 team to Senegal.

Versatile James Boadu is likely to partner Mathew Boafo as centre backs for Sunday's match.

Liberty Professionals are traveling without key striker Bernard Arthur.

He was sent off against Hearts of Oak last week after scoring to equalizer early in the second half before his red card.

Kennedy Ashia and Derrick Appiah have not featured for the Dansoman based club since completing their moves in the second transfer window.

They could make their first appearance this season if selected by coach George Lamptey.

Edwin Ebo Mends is expected back in the starting line-up against New Edubiase United after missing the Accra derby last week.
