Ghana Premier League- Preview: Wa All Stars vs Techiman City- Northern Blues need win to remain on track
Wa All Stars

Dislodged Wa All Stars have set their sights on a quick return to the top as they host debutants Techiman City FC.

They were leapfrogged by Hearts of Oak to the top spot after succumbing to a 2-1 loss to West African Football Academy last Sunday at Sogakope.

The Northern Blues are without wing duo Emmanuel Ocran and Maxwell Baakoh.

They are outside the country for trials.

Issahaku Konda, Mohammed Awudu Armando and goalkeeper Benjamin Asiedu will also be missing on Wednesday due to their stints with the national U20 team.

Techiman City FC have a boosted squad ahead of their trip to Wa with midfielder Yusif Hussein back from a head injury he sustained against Asante Kotoko few weeks ago.

First choice goalkeeper Richmond Ayi has earned a call up to the national U20 camp of the African Youth Championship qualifier on Friday against Senegal.

He couldn't travel with the team to Wa.

Assistant coach Nana Adarkwah is likely to replace the young goalkeeper with Frank Boateng on Wednesday.
