Ghana Premier League winner to pocket US$ 30,000 as prize money
Asante Kotoko against Medeama in the Ghana Premier League.

The winner of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League will earn US$ 30,000 as prize money even if there is no headline sponsor for the competition, GHANASoccernet.com can confirm.

A meeting between the Premier League Board and the Ghana FA Emergency Committee unilaterally agreed on the amount.

The league winner will be paid the amount from the coffers of the Ghana FA even if the association fails to find a sponsor for the league.

This will reduce the financial burden on the Ghanaian champion who will represent the country in the CAF Champions League.

Last season’s winner AshantiGold received GHc 50,000 as prize money.
