Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic set out a comprehensive plan to monitor his 2012 Africa Cup of Nations group opponents in friendlies played over the weekend.

The Serbian coach dispatched his assistant Akwesi Appiah and his entire squad to watch their Group D opponents Guinea in a friendly against Senegal.

The Black Stars players were shown some of the weaknesses in both sides as they played the friendly in Paris on Friday night.

They were exposed to the weaknesses in the Guinea defence who were thrashed 4-1 by the Teranga Lions while their strong sides were also discussed as they watched the game.

Senegal won the game thanks to goals from Nguirane Ndaw, Souleymane Camara, Dame Ndoye and Mame Diouf and showed the Black Stars that they are strong contenders for the title.

Even though Guinea are group opponents of the Black Stars, Ghana were also interested in Senegal who are also tipped as the strong contenders for the title.

Guinea's goal came from veteran star Pascal Feindouno but they will have to improve their defence if they are to entertain hopes of getting past Ghana at the Cup of Nations next year.
